The 1st TEAM WHITEFANGS SPEEDBALL CHALLENGE
September 13, 2009GAME RULES:It is the responsibility of each player to read and familiarize themselves with the game rules indicated below. Team leaders should be present at the briefing area prior to opening of this event. Call time is exactly 0700 hrs.
SAFETY1. Magazine out when inside the safezone area. (bleachers, parking lot, tents and anywhere outside the gamesite perimeter) Players must only load weapons in the staging area prior to “maskdown”.
2. No goggles, No facemask, No play
3. Never take off your eye, face and ear protection while game is in progress
4. No real firearms or deadly weapon
5. Players can test fire, dismantle and repair their weapons only in the designated “SAFETY AREA”.
HIT ELIMINATION1. A player is considered eliminated when he is clearly hit in any part of his body directly or shots that penetrated the barricade.
2. Ricochet does not count as hit.
3. Friendly fire is considered hit.
4. Knife kill (player must physically tap the opponent and announce the kill)
5. No hit calling, only the marshal can declare a hit.
6. Marshal’s decision is final. Should there be a protest or clarification, only the team leader and the marshal concerned will discuss the issue to the head marshal. A non-refundable Protest fee of P500.00 shall be paid upon filing and the grievance committee’s decision is final. If the protesting team wins the arbitration, the fee paid shall be refunded.
7. After a player is eliminated, he/she should raise his/her gun over the head while going to the designated safe zone. The player has the option to leave his/her gun at the location where he/she was declared hit. Handing the gun of the eliminated player to his/her teammate is not allowed.
8. Each team is allowed 1 reserve in case of injury. Only the reserved player listed in the registration form may be allowed to play.
9. Dead men tell no tales. Eliminated player shall not coach his team.
10. In case of equipment malfunction (dead gun), a player cannot ask for a time out and can eliminate himself out from the game if he/she wishes.
FPS/MAGAZINE LIMIT1. All rifles and pistols of each team shall be subject for chronograph. The limit should be 450 fps using .20g ballistic bullets supplied by the organizer. All weapons that passed the prescribed fps limit shall be marked and may be used by any player during the competition.
2. Weapons who failed the chronograph stage cannot be used in the competition and violation of this rule shall disqualify the whole team.
3. No box/motorized magazines allowed.
PROPER DECORUM1. Observe proper decorum at all times.
2. Players who will be found under the influence of alcohol/drugs shall not be allowed to play.
3. No rough physical contact between players.
4. No holding of opponent’s weapon.
5. No hurling or shouting of insults to other players. No foul language.
6. No hiding behind non-combatants (marshals, organizers, game officials)
7. No arguing with the marshals. The marshal’s decision is final. Disrespecting the marshal shall result to penalty on the first offence and disqualification of the player concerned in the succeeding infraction.
8. Overkill is strictly prohibited.
9. Any player who deliberately breaks the rules repeatedly, cheats, instigate a fight or act unsportsmanlike behavior shall be disqualified from the competition.
POINTS1. Each hit/eliminated player is worth 10 points.
2. Objectives (primary, secondary, flag, bomb codes, bomb diffused, etc.) are worth 50 points.
3. An extension of 2 minutes shall be given to break a tie. In case of a tie after the 1st game extension, another 2 minutes shall be given to break the tie. If after the 2nd extension, the tie is not yet broken,
PENALTIES1. Out of bounds shall incur a penalty of 20 points.
2. Overkill shall incur a penalty of 20 points.
3. Eliminated players found coaching, handing of weapon/magazines to other teammates shall incur a penalty of 20 points.
4. Yellow flag-20 points deduction
Red Flag- 30 points deduction
Black flag-disqualification from the game
DEFAULT1. Teams should be in the staging area and be ready in 5 minutes after the marshal’s first call.
2. If after the 1st call a team is not in the staging area, the team shall only be given another 3 minutes and failure to show up shall mean default and the competing team shall perform the objective and will get the maximum points if the objectives are met.
